CAREER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
(I) Introduction
BCM College of Education, Ludhiana, was established in 1998 by the BCM Foundation. The College, with the vision of Achieving Inclusive Education and transforming society, is offering B.Ed. course (150 seats). It is recognised by UGC under section 2(f) and 12(B) of the University Grants Commission Act 1956, NCTE and Panjab University, Chandigarh. The college is accredited by NAAC with grade ‘A’. The Career Management System (CMS) of the college has been functioning successfully as a dedicated department, aiming to prepare students for job placements and improve their employability. It has been actively connecting students with potential employers by organizing career-related events, workshops and training programs.
To meet the challenges of the 21st century tech-driven world, the Career Management System (CMS) of the college works tirelessly to facilitate the smooth entry of graduating students into the job market The Career Centre (CC) is the nucleus of all the activities of the CMS. The CC makes sure that the students are equipped with the optimal skill profile required to face the challenges of the 21st century classroom.
(II) Objectives of Career Centre (CC)
1) To know the students in a better way and identify their strengths, weaknesses, needs and career goals.
2) To upgrade the skills of the future teachers.
3) To train the students for judicious usage of Learning Resources.
4) To keep the students updated about various job avenues in the private, public, and government sectors.
5) To facilitate placement of students and assure a promising future for them.
