ADMISSION PROCEDURE

1. Eligibility for Admission in B.Ed. :

The admission to the course is open to all the eligible candidates. 85% seats are reserved for the candidates from within the state and 15% are open to candidates of other states on all India Basis Admission Procedure according to rules/guidelines framed by Panjab University/ Punjab Government.

2. Important information regarding original documents to be shown at the college at the time of admission:

• Hard copy of duly filled online admission form
• Copies of mark sheets of qualifying examinations
• Copy of matriculation certificate for proof of date of birth
• Copy/Copies of certificate for claiming seat against reserve category (if any)
• Copy of certificate/s supporting the claims for weightages (as per guidelines displayed on PU website)
• Affidavit of gap year
• Character Certificate (from the institute last attended)
• Domicile certificate for claiming Punjab Quota as per latest direction of Punjab Government.
  Note : Attach photocopies of all certificates with application form.

The Fee for B. Ed. General and M.Ed. course will be as fixed by Punjab Govt. / Panjab University. It may be changed without notice under the instructions from Panjab University/ Punjab Govt.

The dates of Payments of dues will be notified from time to time according to the Schedule

RULES & REGULATIONS

Degree in Bachelor of Education/equivalent degree with 50% marks from a recognized University by AIU. or B.A. B.Ed., B.Sc. B.Ed. or B.EI.Ed. or D.EI.Ed. with an undergraduate degree with 50% marks in each. (5% concession is admissible in eligibility marks to S.C./S.T./B.C./P.W.D. candidates).

Admission to the M.Ed. course 1st year (50 Seats) shall be made according to the guidelines framed by the Panjab University, Chandigarh.

1. Candidates with at least 50% marks either in bachelor's degree and/or in the Master's degree in Science/Social Sciences/ Humanities/Commerce/Home Science/ B.B.A./B.C.A., Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification declared equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the programme.
2. The reservation & relaxation for S.C./S.T. O.B.C./P.W.D. and other categories shall be as per rules of central / state government whichever is applicable.
3. The admission to the course shall be open to all the eligible candidates. 85% seats will be reserved for the candidates from within the state and 15% will be open to candidates of other states on all India Basis.

Admission to the B.Ed. course shall be made strictly according to rules/guidelines framed by Panjab University/ Punjab Government. There are a total of 150 seats for B.Ed. Course 1st Year of Panjab University in this College. Out of the total 19 seats will be filled under Management Quota as per the Punjab Govt./ Panjab University norms.

The Management Quota Seats will be filled according to Punjab Govt, directions. Students willing to get admission to Management Quota seats will have to apply to the College directly.
